Acacia-IT was established in Singapore on March 2000 as an HP joint venture company to be low cost service delivery arm to compete aggressive mainly with IBM.
In late 2003 HP Corporate Development gave the directive that Acacia should be an Independent Service Delivery company to be less dependant of HP, hence HP sold its equity share to the founders.
In early 2004 Prime Partner a private equity took majority stake to push for aggressive expansion in Asia Pacific.
